ST. GEORGE - The Sadie Hawkins dance has been fun and well-planned every year by the Future Farmers of America (FFA) Club, but the FFA club decided to pass the torch on planning the dance this year.

Sadies has been turned over tho the Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) club by Mr. Bergeson.

FCCLA chose the theme, “Take the Ride of your Life” because it is the FCCLA's national theme and it  fit in with the carnival.

It took 30 hours worth of planning, coordinating, and making decorations according to Mrs. Johnson. Some of those 30 hours were spent on the inexpensive but beautiful tissue pompoms that were found all over the dance floor.

The entire club can agree that it was a lot of hard work putting it together. When asked if Sadies is the only dance FCCLA will be planning this year, Mrs. Johnson stated, with a sigh of relief, “Yes, thank goodness!”

The FCCLA club will be planning the Sadie Hawkins dance years to come; however, the club plans on taking next year's dance in a different direction. Dixie looks forward to seeing what they can come up with.

Until then, when you see an FCCLA member, make sure you thank them for a great dance and wish them luck for next year.
